What time will the wedding reception end?

Carriages will be at 12pm

What will the weather be like this time of year?

As we are in the mountains, we could have all 4 seasons in one day. However, the venue will agree on whether we have an outdoor or indoor ceremony as close as possible to the ceremony start time. As it's early Spring, the weather could be a bit chilly so we would recommend bringing a jacket or coverup in case the ceremony is outside. Do not panic as it should be no more than 20-30 minutes!

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

As mentioned before, the venue will make the decision on the day based on the weather predictions. We are hoping for an outdoor ceremony but with it being The Lakes, you never know!

What happens after the ceremony?

After the ceremony, the wedding party will be taking pictures nearby for around an hour. Guests can head straight to the reception bar, where we will be serving canapes and beverages for an hour and a half. The wedding breakfast will commence from 4.30pm.

What time should I arrive?

We would suggest arriving half an hour before the ceremony starts. Please be mindful it is a week day and you will be travelling on some country roads. Waze is always a useful tool, though!

Where should guests park? Is parking free?

Parking is available in the hotels car park, directly outside the front of the hotel and is free of charge.

Are kids welcome?

Due to guest number restrictions, we are only able to extend the invite to the children of close family members.

When is the RSVP deadline? Do I need to email back my RSVP or can I do it online?

We are happy for you to text, WhatsApp, email or RSVP on our wedding website. Whatever suits you best. All we do ask is you let us know as soon as you can, since we do have limited spaces and it is a very small wedding so we wouldn't want any empty seats.

Will there be food and drinks during the drinks reception?

Canapes will be served during the reception.

Will dinner be served at the reception? What kind of food?

The wedding breakfast will consist of a 3-course meal (starter, main and dessert).

Will there be any vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free or special diet options?

Yes, please let us know your dietary requirements well in advance and we will ensure the hotel are made aware.

Should I bring a gift to your destination wedding?

Since you’re traveling for our wedding, making the trip is a gift in itself — physical gifts are absolutely not necessary! However if you wish to contribute in some way, we would love some pennies in our pot for a honeymoon trip away!

Do you have any recommendations for where to eat, points of interest or things to do?

Yes, please visit our Travel & Stay page which highlights local accommodation or travel sites for you to find something suitable and within your budget. The hotel itself has offered a 15% discount so please ensure you use it if you are staying at the venue. We have loads of recommendations on things to do during your stay and you can view these on the page. Although we have a list of many more completed adventures and other items even still on our wish list - so please just message us for any tips, tricks and hidden gems! We really do recommend at least a 3-night stay to make the most of the travel and to see a few of the sites.
